Join Hang for this 2-hour workshop to learn how to keep safe and free from injuries in your yoga practice. We all know yoga connects us to something deeper than the body. In order to find that deeper connection, we need to first take care of the body. Like all forms of body movement, injuries and pain can occur from repetitive movements. A smart and informed practice can be a game changer and help minimize unnecessary pain so you can step on the mat regularly and joyfully. With the idea that we are all built differently, Hang will help you to get to know YOUR body biomechanics and anatomy. She'll share all the safety aspects on the mat, including the 8 major joints and the do's and don'ts of common yoga poses. Hang will also discuss common yoga injuries from her travelling and teaching experience. The sun salutation and other foundation poses will be looked under a microscope for joint alignment and muscular function.

All levels welcome! This workshop is for both beginners and seasoned practitioners as well as yoga teachers. Come with lots of questions about your body and your practice, and an open mind. Lots of good stuff will be shared to start incorporating into your practice right away.

Topics covered:
  • In-depth practical yoga application of major joints and muscles.
  • Common yoga injuries and how to prevent them.
  • How to improve alignment and technique.
What to bring:
  • A yoga mat
  • Water bottle
  • Notebook & pen
  • Open mind and lots of questions
