Songs of Peace and Hope
Join us at Studio 330 in downtown Kingston on October 3rd, for an uplifting afternoon of song with guest community singing facilitators, Steph & Paul of FiercelyOK. Whether you’re a seasoned songbird or someone who only ever sings in the shower, you are so welcome!

By Donation - All proceeds will be donated to the All Our Relations Land Trust to support their mission of safeguarding the life of the land for the benefit of past, present, and future generations of all our relations.
(Cash Donation at the Door)

Hope is an active practice, and we can't build the more beautiful, peaceful, loving world our hearts yearn for without it. Let's gather for two hours of wholehearted singing to root down into what is possible and reinvigorate our trust that the little actions we take every day make a difference, especially when guided by love. Come! Let's take time to remember we belong to one another and we are at home in the world.

Here's what to expect:
  • A welcoming environment that embraces you and your voice as they are.
  • Permission and encouragement to explore your voice at your own pace.
  • Opportunities to connect with like-hearted humans and experience a sense of community.
  • Easy-to-learn, heart-softening songs, ranging from playful to powerful and sacred, that will leave you feeling oh-so-OK in all of your tenderness.
About Fiercely OK
Fiercely OK is a community arts organization creating supportive spaces where folks living with mental health challenges (which, let’s be real - means all of us!) can experience a true sense of belonging and wellness among a vibrant community of diverse others.

Our song circles are non-performing and non-auditioned - we sing for the pure goodness of it! By gathering weekly, we care for ourselves, our wider community, and the Earth. All songs are taught by ear, so no musical experience is needed. All voices are welcome. Show up exactly as you are!

Meet Steph & Paul
Steph & Paul have been facilitating community song circles together for over 8 years. In a world where everything moves so fast, and neighbours no longer know each other’s names, they feel the most important contribution they can make is to re-weave place-based community. Getting people singing is their favourite way of bringing people together!

Steph & Paul lead weekly song circles for adults on TuesdayeveningsatUnionGallery, and they host an "all-ages community sing" biweeklyonFridaymorningsat99YorkStreet. They love the Studio 330 community and have been envisioning gathering people to sing in the space for a couple of years, since moving back to Kingston in 2024. They are so grateful to Nathan and Jacquie for helping them make this happen!

Known by some as a musical “wizard,” Paul Barton makes clever use of his education in Jazz guitar and experience as a professional musician to help song circles run seamlessly. Steph Drouin is a trained community choir leader, Expressive Arts Therapist and expert space holder. Informed by a lifelong relationship with anxiety, she is passionate about creating spaces where you can feel safe to show up exactly as you are.

Get ready! As a team of gifted space holders and song weavers, Steph & Paul will not only create an accessible and uplifting musical experience for you but also an environment that is welcoming of your fierce and tender human self.
