Join us for a guided Sound Bath experience; including the gentle energy of Reiki (optional).
These events are customized to the group in attendance, with the intention of allowing your parasympathetic nervous system to engage. This part of your nervous system is responsible for rest, restoration, and rejuvenation.
Vibrations from singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments become a delicate massage for all your cells, tissues & organs, stimulating circulation and the release of toxins.
The experience invites you to access the deep calm within, to slow down, and to relax the body & mind. Your own inner healer will be activated, allowing for healing on all levels.
Gentle breathing cues, guided imagery and visualizations are offered to deepen your experience.
There is time at the end for you to integrate, and (optional) to connect with others.
What to bring?
-The studio has bolsters and blankets for your comfort
-You may choose to bring your own yoga mat, or there are mats available for a $1 cash donation
-You may like to bring an eye cover/mask/pillow, and a pillow to rest your head (a studio blanket can also work as a pillow)
-Water bottle
About the facilitator
Your facilitator is Miriam Lyon, Certified Sound Therapist, Reiki Teacher & Practitioner & trained Yoga Teacher. Miriam weaves in teachings from these trainings and years of experience of calming her own nervous system, intending for you to feel cared for, able to let things go, and to leave the experience feeling lighter and more grounded. Reiki supports your overall well-being, and encourages deep states of meditation. Sound therapy has been shown to have many benefits, including improved sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, and an increased sense of well-being.
As well as at events she hosts at Studio 330, you can also find Miriam in her cozy downtown studio surrounded by nature, offering:
