Arm balances can be intimidating. The moment we lift our feet from the safety of the floor, we are pulled out of our comfort zone. We are directly confronted with our own strengths and weaknesses—both physically and mentally. It’s hard to cheat in these positions, and for exactly that reason, they present a profound opportunity to learn a great deal about ourselves and our practice. But arm balances don’t have to just be hard work—with the right tips & tools, they can be a whole lotta fun! This workshop is designed to demystify the foundations of lift-off, making arm balances accessible and joyful for all practitioners. What you will explore:
· Step-by-Step Breakdown: We’ll break down core poses—including Crow, Crane, Forearm Stand, Handstand, and more—building the structure and strength required from the ground up.
· Foundational Stability: This class offers essential foundations for practitioners new and seasoned to arm balancing, focusing on careful attention to alignment and anatomy.
· Tips for Levity: For those already accustomed to playing on their hands, we’ll explore challenging transitions, variations, tips, and tricks to find new approaches to levity and flight.
· The Inner Practice: We will cultivate a healthy dose of trust, patience, an understanding of anatomy, and a dash of lightness to help you find success in your inversion journey.
