Sometimes it’s a good idea to reinvent the wheel! This workshop is an exploration of alternative approaches to your backbend practice, offering a fresh perspective on this profound category of asana. From Cobra to Drop-Backs, backbends offer multiple physical benefits. They strengthen the core and spine, counter hours of daily sitting, and often relieve back pain. Energetically, backbends encourage us to confront vulnerability and invite openness into the space of the heart. What you will explore:

· Deeper Core Connection: We will get to know the spine and simultaneously engage the deep core muscles, which are crucial for spinal stability.

· Alternative Alignment: We will look at healthy positioning of the body and alignment principles that allow for a safer, more sustainable backbend.

· Stability and Expression: Cultivate the core strength required to safely move into joyful backbends, finding a deeper, more expressive opening while maintaining stability in Wheel (Urdhva Dhanurasana) and related poses.

Join us for this informative immersion to deepen your understanding and safely advance your practice
