Feeling extra tight from the extra COVID-19 sitting?
Do you have tight muscles and can't seem to release them?
You just "rolled" and released the focused area and it's tight again?

Join Hang for this 2-hour workshop to learn how fascia can restrict our movement and mental capacity. Think: headaches relating to neck, shoulder and face tension. Take home gentle techniques to release fascia every day to create strength, flexibility, freedom and space. Hang will also link the release points to acupressure and emotional imbalances, based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

WHAT IS FASCIA?
Fascia is a connective tissue that supports organs, blood vessels and nerves, forming a flexible web for muscles and bones. Fascia can be negatively impacted in several instances – physical or emotional trauma, scarring, or inflammation, and even everyday stressful situations will cause fascia to become tight, causing stress on the rest of the body. Because of the interconnected nature of fascia, consistent poor posture or repetitive movement patterns can cause our body to hold more tension, and be less flexible, which can lead to anxiety and stress, and even injury. Keeping fascia healthy keeps our mind and body healthy.

WHAT IS ACUPRESSURE?
Acupressure uses gentle yet deep finger pressure, based on TCM. In this workshop, we will use a fascial release ball instead to work on specific acu-points to help release tension, balance the "Qi" or energy, and improve vitality.
